BLIKSEM @ Roadburn's Hardrock Hideout! Wednesday April 17th BLIKSEM will kick off the annual Roadburn Festival in Tilburg together with occult metallists ATTIC from Germany on the Hardrock Hideout evening in Cul-De-Sac in the centre of Tilburg near the 013 building. It's the third time Roadburn starts on wednesday with some fine headbanging tunes to get you in the mood for half a week of dirty, sludgy, groovy and spacy tunes! The entrance is FREE, but beware...it's going to be crowded! Doors open at 20:00 hrs. I will spin some heavy tunes before, in between and after the shows of these two upcoming talented metal bands! 3 Vanderbuyst & High Spirits in Benelux! Vanderbuyst will team up with the retro hardrockers from High Spirits from Chicago in the Benelux. High Spirits released in 2011 their highly acclaimed self titled debut album on German (vinyl) label High Roller Records. Gods of Groove on the road part 2! For the second time this year we have selected probably the best three stoner/spacerock bands from the Netherlands who join forces Friday April 12th in Vera-Groningen. First band this evening are the Dutch equivalent of MC5/Blue Cheer, Orange Sunshine, second on the billing is the allstart combo Monomyth consisting of former members of 35007/Gomer Pyle and Incense and last band on the billing are Eindhoven Rockcity veterans Candybar Planet! So get into the groove and make sure not to miss this.
Vanderbuyst @ Hopping Around Vorselaar! Saturday April 6th Vanderbuyst will perform at the annual Hopping Around Vorselaar concert evening. The event is taking place in several venues and pubs in Vorselaar-Belgium! Solstafir & Vanderbuyst @ Paaspop 2013! We are very proud to announce two of our bands on of the most important festivals in the Netherlands: Paaspop in Schijndel. This year we present on Saturday March 30th the phenomenal Icelandic atmospheric pagan wave-metal (what's in a name) band, Solstafir! Teir double album 'Svartir Sandar' (Seasons of Mist) was one of best received albums all over Europe. Single ' Fjara' became the last year a cult-track. Their song 'Hollow' is definitely one of the best stonersoings written the last 5 years! The band is currently finishing the recordings for their debut album! Secondly we will provide management services for one of the fastest growing rock'n roll bands in the south of Holland: Black-Bone. Debut album 'Back To Mayhem'(Roughtrade) produced by Oscar Holleman (e.g. Gorefest, Vengeance, Within Temptation) got raving reviews in the press and these youngsters with an average age of 19 years played over a hundred shows the last years and supported famous acts like Deep Purple, Status Quo, and played aftershows for Slash...to name just a few highlights of their young career! Keyboard player Herbrand Larsen was responsible for the mastering of the debut album 'Face The Evil' (Alone Records/Suburban/Cargo) of the Belgian thrashers. Ketzer headlining Oilst Omploft! German black thrashers Ketzer, who recently released their highly praised Endzeit metropolis album, are headlining the annual Oilsjt Omploft metal/punkfestival in Aalst-Belgium! This small, though succesful indoor festival is almost soldt out!!! Gewapend Beton to Splotsz! Saturday March 16th Dutch punkers Gewapend beton are hitting the stage in Roelofarendsveen in Splotsz! Vanderbuyst First Acoustic Concert in Germany! Those who witnessed the first acoustic session of Vanderbuyst in Sounds Record Store in Tilburg December 28th, know these guys cannot only rock the place with their amps on 10! In Sounds they proved in 25 minutes they can convince their audience with an acoustic set as well. Now for the very first time in their career Vanderbuyst will perform a full 100% acoustic set in Die Burg in Dortmund March 16th! Doomsday Celebration ! Both Vanderbuyst and BLIKSEM will perform Friday march 15th on the so called Doomsday Celebration in LVC Leiuden. It's probablyt the last heavy concert in the old, famous LVC building before it will close its doors. There are only a few toickets left (also combitickets for 2 days) but you have to be quick! For teh very first time in their career Vanderbuyst will play a gig in Athens-Greece at the Up The Hammers Festival, a very fine hardrock, old school metal event with a long history. Vanderbuyst will play at the main-day together with the famous NWOBHM legends Raven! Gewapend Beton in Belgium Dutch punks Gewapend beton are headlining a mini indoor punk festival the stage in OJC Kompas in St. Niklaas Satuyrday March 9th. Their show starts at 23:30! BLIKSEM have just released their long awaited debut album 'Face The Evil' (both on vinyl as on digipack on the Spanish cult label Alone Records distributed by Subaurban in Benelux and Cargo Records in GAS countries).
