Their trademark, atmospheric postrock, is still present in their new material, though writing couple Job and Titus van 't Veer have managed to integrate this style within very compact indierock songs with catchy hooks. The album was again recorded at The Void Studio of Pieter Kloos (Pidah) who is wellknown for his work with Motorpsycho and 35007. It's been a while since the last Gritty Grooves edition in 013.....the reason though was that in our opinion there were not enough newcomers in the stoner, doom, sludge and psychedelic rock to make a good line up. But fortunately it seems that heavy rock is back on track in the Benelux. A good reason to start again with this ol'concept. Sunday February 10th four talented rock acts from the south of Holland will give acte de presence at the Gritty Grooves matinee in w2 Poppodium in Den Bosch. Exactly at 15:00 Viberider, with former Dreadlock Pussy guitarplayer Punto, will hit the stage with their catchy stonerpop with distorted vocals. 2007 was a fantastic year for them with an absolute highlight as they appeared at the Pinkpop festival. The second band on the billing is Ba!l with two former members of Bullseye Powerrock. They dig deep, very deep in the heavy southern sounds of bands like Pride & Glory. Third band are hometown boys Flying Fortress who will give a glimpse of their new album 'Man-Made Noise', songs full of pain, anxiety with the sound old school Grunge. The 'new, old kids from the block' Gomer Pyle will treat you on the finest heavy spacerock of this moment. But, there is even more....Mr. Walter Roadburn will spin the records before and during the change overs, so good tunes are guaranteed. Doors open: 14:30 Damage 7 euro. Wolves In The Throne Room!!!
